Ingredients

  • 4 turkey drumsticks skin-on, bone-in
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika smoked preferred
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a roasting pan.
  • In a bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, paprika, salt, pepper, and thyme to create the rub.
  • Pat turkey drumsticks dry with paper towels. Brush the butter mixture generously all over the drumsticks.
  • Arrange drumsticks in the roasting pan and cover loosely with foil.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 1 hour. Remove foil and roast for an additional 20–30 minutes until skin is crisp and internal temperature reaches 175°F (79°C).
  • Let rest 10 minutes before serving. Spoon over pan juices if desired.

Notes

For extra crispy skin, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end. You can swap in fresh rosemary or sage for thyme. Leftovers reheat beautifully in a 350°F oven for 15 minutes.
