Ingredients

  • 1 lb green beans trimmed and halved
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup 10.5 oz can
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 1/3 cups crispy fried onions divided

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes, then drain and rinse under cold water.
  • In a large bowl, mix cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, black pepper, and 2/3 cup of fried onions.
  • Stir in the cooked green beans until well coated.
  • Transfer mixture to a baking dish and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Top with remaining fried onions and bake for another 5 minutes until golden and crispy.

Notes

Use fresh or frozen green beans depending on availability. For extra flavor, sauté fresh mushrooms and add them to the mix.
