Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef lean
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 cans baked beans 28 oz each, undrained
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce your favorite brand
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is soft. Drain excess fat.
  • In a large bowl, mix baked beans, ketchup, barbecue sauce, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in cooked ground beef and onions until well combined.
  • Pour mixture into a 9x13 baking dish. Bake uncovered for 45–60 minutes or until hot and bubbly with a slightly caramelized top.

Notes

Make it ahead and refrigerate until ready to bake. You can also add crumbled bacon or swap the ground beef for sausage for variation.
